Darkswan Indulgences is wholly owned and operated by Terri Lindsey. Terri had the benefit of growing up in an upscale Beauty Salon owned by her Grandmother in Houston Texas, where she learned about hair and skin care from some of the best and most innovative cosmetic chemists and designers in the world.Terri's grandmother was the first Women owned business and Beauty Salon to be listed in the Presitgous Dun and Bradstreet in the 60's . The Salon was not just for hair, but fully dedicated to Skin, nails, cosmetics and a very exclusive Fashion Boutique.
In the 70's Terri was responsible for managing the Salon's retail Boutique and researching products for resale. After graduating from school she left the salon and the skin care world behind to pursue other interests. In the 90's Terri returned to her roots and started making handmade soap and toiletries for herself and her family, formulatiing custom shampoos and conditioners for her Mother's Salon in Tennessee. That's when her mother pulled her aside and suggested that she sell her soaps and toiletries on the Web.
Following in her grandmother's footsteps, Terri is also listed in Dun and Bradstreet for her Graphics site, Darkswan.net. Her art is featured in several techincal manuals, on various magazine covers and she was the featured artist and art director for Faultline Studios in 2002.

I've had a few people ask me what is so special out our Handmade soaps. Our Handmade soaps are superior in almost every way to commercially manufactured soap and detergents. They are made from scratch in small 15 pound batches using only food grade oils purchased from restaurant supply houses. Some home soapers get their oils from supply houses that, while they are essentially the same oils, you are never really sure they are food grade. 
Does that make our handmade soaps better?
You bet!
And now I hear you asking… Why?
We know our oils are prepared for use in food. They must pass FDA requirements for food applications, plus they have a shelf date. Not all soap supply companies pay attention to the shelf date because the FDA doesn't require them to. We are more than willing to make sure our handmade soaps are made from the freshest oils, so your bathing experience is one of true luxury.
We don't skimp on oils and we don't skimp on fragrances either. Our fragrance oils are purchased from reliable suppliers and are rigorously tested for skin safety. Darkswan Soaps are fully DOUBLE the size of other handmade soap, giving you great value for your money. Properly cared for, a bar of our handmade soap will last at least a month or more. We use the same high quality food grade oils and butters for our lotions and cremés. 
Our thick rich cremés will pamper your skin with nutrients found in high end department store products, without the high end price, and we custom scent them by hand for you. If you don't see your favorite scent, let us know and we will do our best to find it for you.
